Printing Tips

Printing from Home – Inkjet or Laser?

If you are an avid printer (like us!), then we definitely recommend a laser printer. Having had both, a laser printer does cost a little more than an Inkjet printer upfront, but the amount of printing a laser toner will produce compared to inkjet cartridges is immense. Inkjet cartridges are less expensive, but need to be changed constantly.

Paper Types

That depends on what you are printing. For most printables, we recommend a heavy cardstock. Invitations, tags, home decor signs that will be framed – cardstock is a great choice. There are so many options like shimmer, linen and kraft to choose from. Full page label sheets are great for printing stickers and labels.

Printer Settings

For most printable projects, make sure that your printer settings are set to “Print at Actual Size” and that all “Fit to Page” options are unchecked.

Printing Online

We recommend printing at Zazzle for their multiple paper types and unique shapes. No minimum quantity is required as well, which is another bonus.
